We prepare menus for omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free or lactose intolerant diets. If you have any other dietary restrictions or allergies, please let us know before sending your deposit to finalize your booking to make sure we can accommodate your needs.
The following ingredients form the basis of many of our recipes and cannot be requested to be excluded: onion, garlic, tomato, peppers (bell & chili). If you have an allergy that does not allow one or more of these ingredients, Gecko Rock (or this region in general) may not be the best fit for your vacation.
Gecko Rock offers the choice of 3 spice levels: mild, medium and spicy. Zero spice level is not available.
We do our best to accommodate as many reasonable dietary requests as possible.

Please note the following:
- We have a 3 night minimum stay.
- Bookings must be made at least 7 days prior to your arrival.
- All rooms feature a king sized bed and a maximum occupancy of 2 guests.
- Please email us to inquire about single-occupancy room rates and availability.
- Gecko Rock is open for business from November 1 through June 30.
- We are an adult only resort, all guests must be 18 years or older.
- To avoid the stress of unforeseen travel disruptions (flight issues, illness, etc.) we recommend the purchase of a comprehensive travel insurance policy.

What is included in our service-
- Breakfast, dinner & build-your-own lunch, prepared with the highest quality ingredients. Every day our kitchen offers a different selection of Mexican, light and healthy, international and American foods. We do cater to vegans and vegetarians.
- Drinking water and soft drinks by the glass.
- Wifi
- All taxes & fees.
What is NOT included in our service-
- Transport to and from the airport. You can book and pay for this through us in advance and we’ll have a taxi waiting for you upon your arrival
- Alcoholic beverages. A selection of Mexican beers, as well as other alcoholic beverages, including wine, are available for purchase at very reasonable prices from the bar.
Please read through the resort policies before submitting your reservation
– A 30% deposit is due at the time of reservation. The remainder of your balance is due 14 days prior to your arrival date. We recommend that payments are made via bank transfer. We do accept credit card payments, but surcharges apply.
-Bookings must be made at least 7 days prior to your arrival, and bookings made less than 14 days prior to arrival must be paid in full at the time of reservation.
Cancellation Policy:
-The deadline for cancellations is 30 days prior to your arrival date. Customers who cancel before the deadline will receive a cash refund of 80% of their deposit. Gecko Rock Resort incurs significant international transfer and currency exchange fees for returning your deposit, and so due to these costs we can only refund 80%.
Customers who cancel after the deadline will lose their deposit. Gecko Rock Resort is a boutique property with only four rooms and for this reason we must adhere to this policy as we may not be able to fill your room should you cancel after the cancellation deadline.
Any cancellation made less than 15 days prior to your arrival date will result in full forfeiture of all payments.
18+ Policy:
– Gecko Rock Resort is an adult-only establishment. In order to provide a tranquil environment for all of our guests, no children under the age of 18 are allowed under any circumstance. If you arrive with children you will not be allowed to stay at Gecko Rock Resort and your reservation will be treated as a cancellation, resulting in the loss of your deposit. We will do our best to help you find other accommodation nearby, but our 18 and over policy is strictly enforced.
Liability Release:
– Gecko Rock Resort (“The Company”) does not assume responsibility for those inherent risks which may cause unfortunate accidents or incidents during ordinary travel conditions. The Company will not be held responsible for injury, death, damage, loss, delay, cost, expense, or inconvenience arising from travel misfortunes.
The Company will use all due care for the provision of its services and activities provided to guests. Guests participate in activities and use services at Gecko Rock Resort at their own risk. No liability or responsibility is accepted by the Company for any injury, illness, damage, loss, accident, expense, or any other claim arising from involvement in any activities or provision of any services howsoever suffered. The Company will not be liable for direct or indirect losses, arising from any such injury, illness, damage, loss, accident, or expense including consequential loss or economic loss however caused.
– Please take note, we are quite a ways from a large modern hospital, if you have any pre-existing medical conditions please plan accordingly.
Rules and Closing Times:
– Rooms have a maximum capacity of 2 guests.
– No outside visitors are allowed on the premises.
– No outside alcohol is allowed to be consumed at Gecko Rock Resort.
– All rooms are non-smoking. Other smoking areas are available.
– The bar closes at midnight. We ask that you be considerate of other guests staying at the resort.
– Check in is 14:00 and Check out is 12:00. Should you arrive early or leave late, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Christmas/New Year’s/Easter/Semana Santa Reservation Policy
Reservations during the Christmas/New Year’s holidays, as well as during Semana Santa (week before Easter) must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Booking during this peak time is first-come first-served. Promotions and discounts are invalid at these peak times.
